How Long to Cook Spaghetti Squash

The best way to cook your spaghetti squash is to cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, and put the rest of the squash in the oven. You should have your oven set to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and let your squash cook for about 40 minutes to get the best consistency. However, if you prefer your spaghetti squash "noodles" to have a more al dente texture, consider taking it out before that 40-minute mark, at about 30 to 35minutes. The inner texture should include separating strands of squash that look like spaghetti but aren't super soft. Don't let spaghetti squash sit in the oven for longer than 40 minutes because it could lead to over-roasting and soggy noodles that fall apart.

Not sure if your spaghetti squash is done? Check to see if the strands easily release from the skin. If they don't, then let it continue to cook and check every 5 minutes until they do.
